i'm an animal communicator

i've discovered the fact that despite two perfectly functional sinks in my kitchen with an overly functional faucet (aka the faucet that has dripped almost continuously for 2 years despite numerous calls to my landlord) that i will most likely NOT wash the dishes by a means other than my dishwasher - even if i don't have dishwasher soap. i will actually wait two to three days until i have purchased this dishwasher soap, letting several loads of dishes pile up in the aforementioned sinks in the meantime.

i've also discovered that rather than pay $17 dollars for a real rubik's cube in a toy store, that i'd much rather pay $2 for two of them at the local Value Village.

i keep hoping that one of these times when i go there that i'm going to find some incredibly priced item that will gain me my own place on the Antiques Roadshow, but that never seems to happen. apart from the rubik's cubes, i have managed to score several good coffee mugs, a couple of shirts and an egg poacher. i bought a copy of Where in the World is Carmen San Diego once, but it didn't work on my unfortunately new computers.

earlier this evening i watched Broken Flowers. it seems to me that Bill Murray is doing a good job of redeeming himself after that little Garfield mistake. it was a very odd, but interesting film. a little slower paced than a traditional american film, but very enjoyable indeed. very well written and not particularly predictable. it's on Movie Network on Demand this week if you're thinking aboot watching.

But are the cheap cubes as good? If you are interested in solving the Rubik's cube fast, you need a really good one.

You can't find anything because the old people that are searching for treasure got there when the store opened that day. Then they can stuff it away in their attics hoping that their children will recognize it's value. However, when that time comes the kdis say "What the eff? Do any of you guys want this old poster? Me neither," and it goes in the trash. *tsk* They should have at least donated it to Goodwill or the Salvation Army or the Canadian equivalent.

    Wrong "its." Dang.

PS - Why am I so excited about this currently imaginary trip to Canada?

PPS - The Boy and I were talking and we're getting married next September (around Talk Like A Pirate Day, and I beleive it will be pirate themed), so if you don't have any plans you (and Miss Loo!) can feel free to come down. We'll save couch/extra room space for out of town visitors.

Hey welfare bum. Been away for a while - in a land where I was too busy with work to keep up with blogs. Did your cd swapping thing ever get off the ground?

work is dumb. everyone should just quit working. it'd be so much easier to keep up with the internet.

this month we only had two of us participating. if you want to join up, we could have a total of 5 people trading for the next swap. check it out at http://groups.google.com/group/untasticmusicswap if you'd like to join in.

September '07. This year would be called eloping and that would make his whole family crazy mad.

Talk Like A Pirate Day comes every year on September 19.

Broken Flowers was indeed interesting and slow. Painfully slow. The ending left me feeling unfulfilled. Information is good. Closure is good.

On another note, I always look forward to Talk Like A Pirate Day. Maybe this year I'll even wear my pirate costume to work.
