day's never finished

so sometimes when you work, it's busy as hell. and sometimes when you work, it's boring as hell. this is one of those boring times.

many internal people are on holidays, being the first week of july. unfortunately, many clients are on holidays too. this results in my no-holiday-having-ass sitting around waiting impatiently for the next request to come in.

so now i sit and wait. i surf the internet even though i'm not supposed to, and i think i've read every issue of Bicycling magazine that i have. arg. people keep telling me that "it'll be so busy you won't be able to manage it all," but i have yet to see that come through. it's kind of a double-edged sword - is it better to sit boredly around and be thankful i'm not busy or is it better to be so busy it at least justifies my being at work.

i wish someone would pay me to ride my bike. i have a hell of a lot of training before that can happen though.
